Jewish Bereavement Counselling Service (JBCS) TRUSTEE - JEWISH BEREAVEMENT COUNSELLING SERVICE (JBCS)

Trustees provide strategic leadership and governance, ensuring the charity fulfills its charitable objectives, remains financially sustainable, and complies with its legal and regulatory responsibilities.

• Contribute to the charity's strategic direction and development.
• Ensure effective governance, financial oversight, and risk management.
• Act in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries.
• Attend and participate in board meetings and relevant activities.
• Promote and support the charity's work and values.

• Commitment to the charity's mission and values.
• Previous experience in finance, fundraising, counselling/psychotherapy, mental health services, healthcare, or marketing is valuable but not essential.

As a trustee, you will have the satisfaction of contributing your skills and experience to a well‑established charity, influencing its future direction, supporting vulnerable people through bereavement, and helping ensure essential services remain.
