Trustees provide strategic leadership and governance, ensuring the charity fulfills its charitable objectives, remains financially sustainable, and complies with its legal and regulatory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the charity's strategic direction and development.
- Ensure effective governance, financial oversight, and risk management.
- Act in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries.
- Attend and participate in board meetings and relevant activities.
- Promote and support the charity's work and values.
- Energy and enthusiasm.
- Connections and good networking skills.
- Commitment to the charity's mission and values.
- Previous experience in finance, fundraising, counselling/psychotherapy, mental health services, healthcare, or marketing is valuable but not essential.
As a trustee, you will have the satisfaction of contributing your skills and experience to a well‑established charity, influencing its future direction, supporting vulnerable people through bereavement, and helping ensure essential services remain.
