Sit and Chat Volunteer
The League of Jewish Women is looking for friendly and compassionate volunteers to visit elderly residents at a care home in Prestwich for one hour each week. Volunteers will spend time with a small group of residents, providing companionship and social interaction. Activities may include:
- Chatting and listening to residents' stories and experiences
- Engaging in reminiscence activities
- Playing board games and other simple activities
- Providing company and helping residents enjoy their afternoon
- Supporting residents who may be experiencing loneliness or social isolation
Role hours:
Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 3:00pm. Volunteers can choose the afternoon that best suits their availability.
This opportunity is open to people of all genders.

Annual membership: £10 for women and £7 for men.
