Volunteer Recruiter Diverse Communities

March 2nd, 2023. Posted in Recruitment. To promote volunteering and recruit volunteers from ethnically diverse communities living in Tameside for local charity, Being There, which offers support to people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, their carers and families.

21 hours a week, worked flexibly during weekdays fixed term for two years as part of a lottery project. £11,411 per annum + car and mileage allowance, pension and other benefits (details on request). Tameside based with local travel and to other Being There branches as required.

The role requires a community worker, experienced in recruiting volunteers. Good interpersonal skills, a flexible approach to work and a clear understanding of diversity and inclusion, as well as safeguarding and confidentiality. Competence in Microsoft office. Full driving licence and use of a car essential. DBS Enhanced Disclosure and references required.
