Location: Salford
Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse – Ward H3
Salford Royal, Renal Services
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate shifts on a 25 bedded inpatient renal ward (H3) providing care to patients with complex renal needs including haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and plasma exchange.
- Work with Band 6 nurses to support the Ward Manager in delivering excellent care to patients and families.
- Manage a team, display excellent leadership qualities and support junior staff to develop clinical skills.
- Implement change initiatives to improve patient experience.
- Develop haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and plasma exchange skills, and support the procedure room for access insertion and kidney biopsies.
- Proven record of experience in managing complex patients and developing a team.
- Experience of shift coordinating and managing a nursing team.
- Strong leadership and team development skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience managing change to improve patient experience.
