This position offers an exciting opportunity to join the expanding Hepatobiliary/Neuroendocrine Carcinoma (HPB/NET) team as a Clinical Research Nurse. The role involves participating in a diverse range of early and late clinical trials, with a focus on assessing and managing the complex needs of patients involved in these studies.
Main Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage clinical trial protocols in collaboration with clinical trial coordinators.
- Assess and address the complex needs of patients participating in clinical trials, ensuring the delivery of specified treatments.
- Participate in feasibility reviews and risk assessments for new clinical trial opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, including ICH/GCP standards and Trust SOPs.
- Support patient recruitment and management, ensuring targets for recruitment are met.
- Oversee the safe administration of medicinal products within clinical trials.
- Act as the primary contact for clinical trial patients and provide guidance to other healthcare professionals.
- Engage in promotional events to raise awareness of clinical research nursing and clinical trials.
- Contribute to the development and review of specialist care pathways in collaboration with relevant personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of all clinical trial activities and ensure timely documentation.
- Registered General Nurse with current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
- Possess a first degree or relevant clinical experience.
- Demonstrated experience in oncology nursing and working autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to show evidence of service improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication skills and advanced organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of the clinical trial process and ICH-GCP guidelines.
- Experience in a clinical research environment is desirable.
- Ability to manage one’s workload effectively and demonstrate IT proficiency.
- Competitive salary ranging from  £39,959 to  £48,117 per annum, pro rata.
