Clinical Research Nurse

Overview

We are looking for a part‑time Band 6 Clinical Research Nurse to join the Observational and Supportive Research Team to work 4 days a week. The candidate will contribute to clinical research within oncology across a variety of specialities, including Medical Oncology, Clinical Oncology, Radiotherapy Related Research, Anaesthetics and Critical Care.

• Screen, recruit and obtain informed consent from patients for a wide range of observational trials.
• Coordinate trial protocols, including delivery of trial assessments, sample collections, questionnaires, toxicity assessments, interviews, real‑world data input and clinical data collection.
• Provide ongoing support for patients participating in studies, ensuring that study interventions comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Trust standards.
• Coordinate and manage trial pathways, ensuring specified assessments for each patient are completed.

• Background in oncology; experience within clinical research is desirable.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills; approachable and able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with clinical data systems.
• Flexibility to work required days and ability to work part‑time (4 days/week).
