RN Student Midwife: Masters in Midwifery Placements

Student Midwife – Masters in Midwifery (University of Salford)

Students will be based at one of the MFT sites:
North Manchester, Oxford Road Campus or Wythenshawe.

Students will concurrently pursue the Master’s Degree in Midwifery at the University of Salford, attending lectures and clinical placements.

Two‑stage interview: initial screening with MFT, followed by a university interview to confirm entrance criteria.

• Work alongside midwifery teams across antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care, supporting women and families during the puerperium.
• Provide physical and mental health support during the postpartum period.
• Complete required midwifery training while attending university lectures and clinical practice.
• Gain practical experience in both community and hospital settings.

• Must hold UK Adult Nurse NMC Registration
• Enrollment in the Master’s Degree in Midwifery at the University of Salford.
