Advanced Clinical Practitioner – Gynaecology Services

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) for our Gynaecology clinical service. The closing date is 02 August 2026.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review patients with a wide range of Gynaecology presentations.
  • Autonomously assess patients, request investigations and form management plans.
  • Work closely with medical and nursing teams across four sites, providing patient‑centred care.
  • Participate in emergency gynaecology care and various sub‑specialities.
  • Support clinical governance, quality improvement and teaching activities.

Qualifications:

  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
  • Current registration with the NMC (RN Adult, RN Child or RM).
  • Independent non‑medical prescriber.
  • Teaching and assessment qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of recent CPD.

Experience:

  • Substantial post‑registration experience; leadership experience at band 7 or above.
  • Experience in managing and evaluating change.
  • Commitment to professional development for self and others.
  • Involvement in implementation of research or evidence‑based practice.
  • Experience working independently as a practitioner.
  • Experience in women’s health.

Skills:

  • Evidence‑based practice and patient‑centred care.
  • Prioritising workload and balancing clinical and other duties.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Ability to manage high‑pressure situations.
