IPU Clinical Manager

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our friendly Integrated Procedures Unit (IPU) team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.

The IPU is a dynamic service comprising Endoscopy, Procedures, Interventional Radiology, Pain Clinics, Plastic Dressing Clinics, Second-Stage Recovery, and Theatre Services. As a Band 7 Clinical Unit Manager, you will provide clinical and operational leadership, support staff development, and help ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across the Trust, you will contribute to service development, quality improvement, and the introduction of new procedures and technologies.

We are a supportive team of Registered Nurses, Assistant Practitioners and Health Care Assistants who value respect, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous learning.

The successful candidate will be an NMC-registered nurse with strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, alongside experience in delivering high-quality patient care.

The post holder will be accountable for the overall delivery of high-quality care within the unit and will act as an effective role model, leading, coordinating, and supporting staff to maintain the highest standards of clinical practice and patient experience.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic nurse with proven leadership and management skills, together with experience in medical and surgical nursing. You will demonstrate a passion for patient care, a commitment to service improvement and innovation, and the ability to support and develop staff within a multidisciplinary environment.
