We are seeking a confident, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Mount Road Vets on a full-time basis. Part-time applications will also be considered, providing the 40-hour weekly requirement can be covered.

Mount Road Vets is a well-established first opinion practice located just 4 miles from central Manchester. We have a loyal and growing client base, including clients who have been with the practice for many years, and we are proud to provide accessible, high-quality care to pets within our local community.

This role will involve some sole charge nursing work, so we are looking for an RVN who feels confident working independently and taking ownership of their nursing responsibilities. You won’t be on your own day-to-day, as you’ll be supported by a skilled and friendly VCA team, alongside the wider practice team.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons, VCAs and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

This role would suit an RVN who enjoys a varied general nursing position and is confident working with a level of independence. You’ll be involved in nurse appointments, patient admissions and discharges, inpatient care, treatments, diagnostics, medication dispensing and maintaining accurate client and patient records.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm
• Part-time applications will be considered, providing the 40-hour weekly requirement can be covered across the team

General Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
• Run nurse appointments and support preventative healthcare
• Support patient admissions and discharges, ensuring accurate communication and records
• Administer treatments as directed, including injections, medications, fluid therapy and dressings

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring:

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
• Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
