Clinical Vascular Scientist (CVS)
Fixed‑term 12‑month contract covering maternity leave.
Main dutiesThe ideal applicant will have graduated from the Scientific Training Programme or have accreditation to the CSVS; consideration will be given to candidates approaching accreditation or graduation. You will be a friendly, focused, and effective communicator, working closely with patients, their families, and colleagues. Your role will involve performing a full range of vascular scans and delivering a high standard of care.
Personspecification Qualifications
- Post‑graduate qualification of Accreditation to the Society of Vascular Technology of GB and I or successful completion of the STP MSc. or equivalent qualification.
- Approx. 3 years clinical experience in Clinical Vascular Science.
- Experience in teaching/training of Clinical Vascular Science.
- Experience in audit.
- Experience in research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Clinically competent in vascular scans.
- Proven workload management of self.
- Proven ability to problem‑solve.
- Effective organisational skills.
- Good analytical and clinical decision‑making skills.
- Awareness of clinical governance process.
