37.5 hours per week Located: 100% onsite based About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Co-ordinator to join a leading UK-based testing, certification and technical services organisation within its Furniture and Floor Coverings division. The department supports manufacturers, suppliers and retailers through testing, consultancy, training and innovation services, ensuring products meet national and international quality, safety and performance standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and developing quality management and health & safety systems within an accredited laboratory environment.
Working within an ISO 17025 accredited quality management system, you will support compliance activities, quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives across the business area.
Key Responsibilities Following appropriate training, responsibilities will include:
Maintaining and improving quality documentation and records, including calibration certificates, equipment maintenance records, conformity certificates, reference materials, software validations and spreadsheet validations.
Conducting calibrations, drift analysis, risk assessments, witnessed assessments and measurement uncertainty calculations to agreed deadlines.
Managing proficiency testing, check testing and participation in inter-laboratory comparison schemes.
Supporting managers with external accreditation audits, including planning audit activities and coordinating corrective action evidence.
Coordinating accreditation scope extensions and associated documentation.
Assisting with the development and review of standard operating procedures and quality documentation.
Supporting compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Maintaining training, competency and compliance records.
Purchasing, verifying and controlling standard reference materials.
Completing COSHH assessments and records where required.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across quality and operational systems. Candidate Requirements Essential Minimum of two years' experience in a laboratory, technical or quality-focused environment, or A-Level qualifications (or equivalent) in a science-based subject or mathematics.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities.
Ability to follow procedures and instructions accurately.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Effective team working and collaboration skills.
Understanding of the importance of quality systems and compliance processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Reliable, flexible and self-motivated approach to work.
Desirable Experience maintaining or supporting quality management systems such as ISO 17025 or ISO 9001.Knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures.
Experience with in a testing, laboratory or regulated environment.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
Customer-focused mindset.
