Quality Manager | Manchester, UK | Site-Based | Permanent

Are you an experienced Quality Manager looking for an opportunity to lead meaningful change within a highly regarded manufacturing business?

We're partnering with a well-established UK manufacturer with more than five decades of experience delivering specialist coating and finishing solutions to customers operating within critical infrastructure sectors.

Supporting industries such as energy, water, construction, and major engineering projects, the company has built a strong reputation for technical excellence, quality, and customer service.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Quality Manager to join their leadership team and play a pivotal role in driving quality performance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the business.

The Opportunity:

You'll provide both strategic and operational leadership for quality management activities across the manufacturing operation. Working closely with production teams and quality inspectors, you'll ensure products, processes, and systems consistently meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee day-to-day quality performance across manufacturing operations
  • Maintain, develop, and improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Support wider compliance, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead internal audits and manage non-conformances, corrective actions, and root cause investigations
  • Monitor and report on quality KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to drive quality awareness and accountability
  • Manage customer quality concerns and supplier quality issues effectively
About You:
  • Significant experience in a Quality Manager position within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
  • Experience with auditing, corrective actions, and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Exposure to ISO 45001 and other recognised management system standards
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
