Senior Building Manager – Manchester City Centre Trophy Asset
Ardan Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a leading commercial property company to find a Senior Building Manager for one of their flagship assets - 160,000+ sq ft commercial building in the heart of Manchester, home to major corporate occupiers, financial services firms and ground-floor hospitality tenants.
This is a rare chance to take the reins of a genuine landmark building, leading a small, on-site team and shaping its performance, all backed by the resources and credibility of a globally recognised real estate firm.
What You'll Be Doing- Setting and Managing annual service charge budget.
- Managing contractors, keeping quality and cost firmly on track
- Acting as the go-to person for occupiers and clients – building genuine relationships, chairing tenant meetings, and resolving day-to-day issues before they become problems
- Leading and developing a small on-site team, including performance, training and future succession
- Keeping the building safe and compliant – health & safety, environmental standards, and up-to-date risk and incident plans
- Staying ahead of the local market – spotting opportunities, and representing the building positively in the community
- Feeding into and helping shape the wider asset strategy alongside the client
- Solid experience managing large commercial or retail buildings, ideally somewhere high-profile or multi-let
- A commercial operator who's comfortable owning budgets and managing expenditure
- Someone who leads well – you'll have a small team looking to you for direction
- A natural relationship-builder across clients, occupiers, suppliers and the local community
- Current knowledge of property, H&S and environmental legislation
- Comfortable with everyday IT and property management systems
- Manage one of Manchester's most recognisable commercial buildings
- Real autonomy within a small, tight on-site team
- The training, support and career currency of a top-tier global real estate name
- A strong next step for a Building or Centre Manager ready for a flagship asset
