An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Portfolio Surveyor to join a highly successful and privately owned property development and investment business with a substantial UK commercial portfolio in excess of 7 million sq ft.

The portfolio is diverse and includes office, retail, leisure and industrial assets across a range of prime locations. This is a client-side position offering the opportunity to take ownership of a varied commercial portfolio within a collaborative and well-established property team.

This role would suit an experienced commercial property professional who enjoys building strong occupier relationships, managing complex property matters and working within a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.

The Role

Working closely with the wider Portfolio Management team and other internal departments, responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all professional property matters across an allocated commercial portfolio
  • Handling lease renewals, rent reviews, lease assignments, sublettings and lease breaks
  • Acting as the principal point of contact for occupiers and maintaining excellent client relationships
  • Undertaking regular property inspections and liaising with Building Surveying and Facilities Management teams
  • Assisting with service charge management, including budget setting and annual reconciliations
  • Working alongside the rating team on business rates matters
  • Providing support and guidance to Building Managers
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and statutory requirements
About You

The successful candidate will ideally possess:

  • Previous experience within commercial property management
  • Strong knowledge of landlord & tenant matters
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage relationships effectively with occupiers and stakeholders
  • MRICS qualification preferred, although this is not essential for candidates with the right level of experience
