Research Associate, Research Scientist, Research Analyst

About the role

You will undertake independent and collaborative research activities, managing discrete research projects as directed and contributing to publications, conferences and seminars. The role involves close collaboration with senior academics, external partners and research students, with opportunities to supervise postgraduate and research students where appropriate.

• Planning and delivering high-quality research and data analysis to meet agreed objectives
• Writing up research findings for publication and presentation to internal and external audiences
• Contributing to journals, conferences and seminars to disseminate research outputs
• Supporting collaborative research projects with internal and external partners
• Supervising and supporting postgraduate and research students, including practical demonstrations where required
• Actively contributing to the wider research team and departmental activities

You will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to synthesise complex data and present findings to diverse audiences. You will be proactive, organised, and capable of using initiative and judgement to overcome research challenges.

You will also have:

• Research experience within a relevant field, with evidence of independent contribution to projects
• Experience of writing research outputs for publication
• The ability to work collaboratively and, where required, lead small research teams
• A doctoral qualification, or be working towards one, with evidence of ongoing professional development
