Overview
The University of Manchester’s new International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems is hiring a Post Doctoral Research Associate or Fellow for a 2‑year full‑time role in Neuromorphic Systems (Mixed‑Signal IC Design). The centre is a new research hub within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, led by Professor André van Schaik, and collaborates across the departments of Computer Science and Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
The research focuses on neuromorphic systems across three pillars: sensors, algorithms, and platforms.
Design and test mixed‑mode IC systems, develop neuromorphic hardware (particularly integrated circuits), and contribute to applied research in neuromorphic systems. Produce high‑quality publications and develop a clear plan for securing external research funding.
Qualifications- Specialist knowledge in neuromorphic engineering.
- Experience in designing and testing mixed‑mode IC systems.
- Strong publication record.
- Ability to plan and secure external research funding.
- Position level commensurate with experience; applications for both levels are encouraged.
