RETAIL SUPPLY PLANNER – KIEHLS (Maternity Cover) - Trafford or London Gateway

As the Retail Supply Planner, you will support our retail stores by managing and implementing inventory and planning strategies that optimises stock in all our locations whilst delivering strong on shelf availability (OSA), optimized store coverage and minimising waste.

You will play a pivotal role in product launches, planning for seasonality and peak trading to ensure our plans align with commercial and brand objectives.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will analyse sales patterns, anticipate demand, and refine planning methodologies to maintain a balance between efficiency and the elevated in-store experience our customers expect.

This is a crucial role for Kiehl’s given the size of retail in the brand with lots of senior stakeholder exposure. This role reports into the Head of D2C/Boutiques and sits within the multi divisional ecommerce supply chain team. It requires regular visits to stores so we are looking for someone who also wants to engage with our store teams.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Inventory Management:
    Ownership and Management of replenishment calculations adapting the approach based on campaigns, BAU and peak periods. Review sales data, stock levels, and inventory related costs in market and provide recommendations to drive improvement and anticipate risks. Ensure adherence to Internal control measures through monthly sales and stock reconciliation reviews and reporting.
  • Catalogue Management:
    Ongoing review of the product catalogue for all sku types, ownership of planning and inventory parameters for new and discontinued sku’s and optimising the catalogue based on store tiering systems to achieve commercial objectives.
  • KPI Management:
    Deliver and report the KPIs in line with the company targets – On-Shelf Availability, Waste, Days Cover.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Maintain optimal stock levels across all stores, ensuring availability while minimising obsolescence and waste. Partner across teams covering order-to-delivery, identifying & co-ordinating solutions to any supply chain challenges.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Optimise the operational execution of our retail stores - continuing to refine processes & implement new initiatives to improve accuracy efficiency and agility. Support the brand retail team in the planning and execution of projects including new store openings/ closures/ campaigns.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management:
    Build an understanding of “life in store” through store visits & close collaboration. Communicate and interact with stores & retail management on a regular basis to ensure optimum service and exceptional in-store experience. Partner with key stakeholders [Planning, DC, Retail, IT] to drive improvements in end-to-end processes & ensure optimal ways of working. Collaborate with both the L’Oréal European retail supply team to identify & implement best practices.

YOU ARE
  • Preferably proven experience in retail supply planning, inventory management, or a related field within a retail environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
  • A meticulous and organised approach, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • An enthusiasm to learn, overcome challenges and mobilise change/improvements.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to navigate cross-functional relationships.
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (Power Query experience advantageous)
  • SAP, MARs, and Anaplan experience advantageous.
