Assistant Manager - Chadderton

Role Purpose

You will be responsible and accountable for the shop and the team in the absence of the Shop Manager, operating and running the shop, managing the team effectively. Responsibilities include opening and closing the business, accepting and paying out bets, ensuring high standards and delivering excellent customer service.

• Support the Shop Manager with day‑to‑day running of the shop and team.
• Lead the operation and team in the absence of the Shop Manager, including opening and closing the shop, managing cash, and maintaining shop presentation.
• Guide the team in cash management procedures and attendance system usage.
• Encourage communication and idea sharing among colleagues.
• Identify opportunities to improve shop results and drive high standards.
• Provide outstanding customer experience and educate team to deliver excellent service.
• Accept bets accurately through multiple channels, including betting terminals and EPOS.
• Act as Brand Ambassador, introducing customers to the multi‑channel/digital journey.
• Ensure adherence to operational and security procedures.
• Fulfill Social Responsibility duties.

• 1+ year Assistant Manager/Supervisor Retail experience.
• Industry experience welcomed, though full training will be provided.
