Retail Supervisor - Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Little Hulton, Salford. The role is a permanent part‑time position, working a variety of shifts with a minimum of 16 hours each week, generally including some weekend work.

Hourly rate: £13.61 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week (approximately £217 per week). Overtime may be available.

• Support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide excellent service to our customers.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the team of retail assistants.
• Take responsibility for controlling operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

• Strong people skills – easy to get on with everyone and build working relationships with staff and customers.
• Trustworthy and reliable, as the role is key to a small team’s success.
• Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or a similar industry would be advantageous, but we welcome applicants eager to start a retail management career.
• Successful completion of an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check if offered the position.
