40 hours per week About the Role HMP Forest Bank is looking fora Safer Custody Intelligence Analystto join our team and play a keyrole in supporting the safety, wellbeing and effective management of theprison.
This is anon-operational role with no line management responsibilities, providing high-qualityintelligence, data analysis and reporting to support Safer Custody, violencereduction and informed decision-making across the establishment.
Working closely with Safer Custody leads, the Security team and senior management, you will analyseinformation from a wide range of sources, identify trends and emerging concerns, and turn complex data into clear and meaningful intelligence that supports positive action.
You will play an important role in ensuring that Safer Custody information is accurately recorded,analysed and communicated to the right people at the right time.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse and evaluate information from a wide range of sources to identify, reduce and prevent Safer Custody issues.
- Produce monthly and quarterly Safer Custody Intelligence Reports, covering key areas including self-harm, violence, self-isolation, ACCT management and CSIP. Use data, intelligence and trend analysis to support Senior Management Team decision-making.
- Identify emerging trends and provide clear, timely intelligence on local, regional and national Safer Custody issues.
- Develop and maintain reporting datasets, analytical tools and data systems to support effective information management.
- Ensure relevant intelligence and recording systems are accurate, maintained and used appropriately.
- Provide advice and guidance to Safer Custody Managers on current trends, intelligence and emerging issues.
- Work closely with the Security team and functional departments to ensure Safer Custody priorities are understood and supported across the establishment.
- Liaise with other establishments, law enforcement organisations and external agencies, sharing relevant intelligence in accordance with local and national policies.
- Support the management and implementation ofACCT and CSIPsystems.
- Complete national and local monitoring returns accurately and within required timescales.
- Maintain establishment databases, filing systems and information logs, producing reports as required.
- Collate and distribute monthly objectives from Safer Custody departments.
- Arrange meetings, prepare relevant paperwork, record minutes and monitor action points.
- Support the continued development of Safer Custody intelligence capability at HMP Forest Bank.
We are looking for an analytical, organised and highly motivated individual who can turn information and data into meaningful intelligence.
You will have excellent attention to detail and be confident working with sensitive information.
Youwill also need to communicate complex information clearly to a range ofaudiences, from operational colleagues through to senior management and external partners.
Essential Skills and Experience- Ability to understand, interpret and analyse data.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly
Microsoft Excel and Word. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing deadlines.

- Ability to present data and intelligence in a clear, understandable and useful format.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate record keeping.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Previous experience of working within a prison or custodial environment.
- Knowledge or experience of Safer Custody, violence reduction or related custodial processes.
- Experience using
Power BIor other data visualisation and analytical tools.
