ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Buyers Admin Assistant to join a growing Product team within a business going through a significant period of transformation and change. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is hungry to build a career in Buying and has a genuine interest in non-fashion / General Merchandise products. Working closely with the Buying and Merchandising teams, you'll provide key administrative and coordination support across the product lifecycle, from initial brief through to launch.

The role is varied and fast-paced, covering product and pricing data, critical path management, supplier communication, samples, technical assessments, product listings and system management. You'll play an important role in keeping the Product team organised, ensuring deadlines are met, risks are highlighted and information remains accurate and up to date. An ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their product knowledge, gain strong foundations in Buying and build a long-term career within a dynamic General Merchandise environment.

ABOUT

THE CANDIDATE

We're looking for someone who is ambitious, proactive and genuinely passionate about product and buying. You may already have some experience within Buying, Merchandising, Product or Administration, or you could be at the very start of your career and looking for the right opportunity to get into Buying. You'll ideally have:

  • A genuine interest in non-fashion / General Merchandise products - this is essential. A strong desire to develop a career within Buying and Product. Excellent attention to detail and a "right first time" approach. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Good written and verbal communication skills. Confidence communicating with both internal teams and suppliers. A proactive, enthusiastic and solutions-focused approach.

The ability to work at pace in a fast-changing environment.
  • Good Excel and general IT skills.
  • The resilience and determination to keep things moving when faced with challenges. Most importantly, we're looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm and ambition - someone who is hungry to learn, keen to get involved and wants to make their mark within a growing Product team.
