Van Sales Consultant - Manchester
Our client, a well respected Truck and Van dealer, is looking for someone with strong B2B/local business development/selling to wholesale businesses. You don't necessarily need to know about vans as we have extensive training for this, you will need to know how to prospect, build/maintain relationships and find new customers. If you are a confident communicator with a passion for sales and building strong customer relationships, this is your chance to join a thriving business during an exciting period of growth.
There aren't a lot of inbound enquiries so they will need to be able to go out and find their own business.
- Competitive Salary up to £30,000 basic
- OTE Year 1: £40-45k, Year 2: £50-55k, Year 3 onwards: £60-70k+, commission is uncapped
- Industry‑Leading Commission Scheme Uncapped
- Company Car – fully electric or hybrid
- Field Based role
- Working Hours:
Monday - Friday, 9.00 - 17.30 - Holiday: 23 days per year, plus bank holidays

- Identify and secure new business opportunities while maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Oversee order progress to ensure timely delivery and paperwork completion.
- Use the demonstrator fleet to maximise sales opportunities.
- Present product comparisons, highlighting benefits and total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Prepare detailed quotations and participate in sales events.
- Promote additional services such as maintenance contracts and finance offers.
- Conduct vehicle handovers and maintain regular customer contact.
- Develop knowledge of alternative fuel vehicles and charging infrastructure (training provided).
- Essential:
Proven sales experience within the commercial or HGV industry. - Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Well‑organised, team‑oriented, and adaptable to change.
- IT literate, with experience using CRM systems.
