Role: Technical Sales Engineer – Hydraulics
Location: Field Based
Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience
We are looking for a commercially driven Technical Sales Engineer with strong hydraulic expertise to join our expanding team.
This role is ideal for someone who understands hydraulic systems in depth and enjoys combining technical knowledge with relationship-driven sales. You will play a central part in strengthening existing customer partnerships while identifying new revenue opportunities to support long-term business growth.
Responsibilities- Drive revenue growth in line with company objectives and sales plans.
- Manage and develop existing customer relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
- Assess incoming enquiries, interpret technical requirements, and produce detailed quotations.
- Generate and process sales orders, coordinating closely with purchasing and operations.
- Liaise with internal teams to support scheduling and fulfilment activities.
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on hydraulic assemblies, individual components, and system configurations.
- Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular activity updates to leadership.
- Contribute ideas to enhance operational efficiency and internal workflows.
- Demonstrable success in a technical sales position within the hydraulics industry.
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, manifolds, and power units.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage accounts effectively.
- Confident communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Self-sufficient and motivated, with the discipline to work effectively from a remote environment.
- Experience supporting OEMs or industrial clients.
- Exposure to order coordination or production scheduling processes.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and structured pipeline management.
