Role Purpose

Cover the North of England and Scotland, based out of Manchester/Liverpool

To meet and exceed the financial and activity targets set by Miller Knoll by developing, managing, and converting sales opportunities within a defined territory. The role focuses on generating demand and creating buying potential for Miller Knoll products through targeted territory activity, lead generation, and strong engagement with architects, designers, dealers, and end clients. The position operates both independently and in partnership with dealer networks, coordinating Miller Knoll and dealer resources to progress opportunities.

The role holder will take full ownership and accountability for sales opportunities through to order placement, while providing accurate forecasting and relevant market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve individual sales targets through proactive lead generation and new business development, with a strong focus on identifying, creating, and converting sales opportunities within the territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Architects and Designers to secure specification of Miller Knoll products on local projects.
  • Maximise the use of Miller Knoll and dealer showrooms to host A&D presentations, client events, seminars, and networking activities.
  • Sell the full product portfolio across all the Miller Knoll brands.
  • Identify, develop, and own new business opportunities in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager, allocating opportunities to the appropriate dealer.
  • Collaborate with dealers on larger dealer-generated new business opportunities and competitively held accounts.
  • Work cross-functionally with National Account Managers, Global Account Managers, Major Project Groups, A&D teams, and Channel Development to support and deliver new opportunities as required.
  • Actively participate in relevant networking events, and industry-focused forums, to generate new leads and relationships.
  • Consistently promote Miller Knoll products and services, acting in the best interests of the business to meet and exceed individual volume targets.
  • Deliver best-in-class presentations and communications, both verbal and written, including RFI, RFP, and tender submissions, whether produced by Miller Knoll or dealer partners.
  • Maintain a strong focus on new business by delegating non-sales-related activities to appropriate internal teams such as Channel Support, Customer Care, and Technical Sales Representatives.
  • Continuously build product, program, and market knowledge to confidently articulate Miller Knoll’s value proposition and competitive differentiation.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the furniture market and competitive landscape within the territory, building relationships with key influencers and decision-makers.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports to the Regional Manager, ensuring Salesforce is fully utilised, consistently updated, and reflects all active opportunities.
