Overview
Technical Sales Manager at Tekpak Automation. This is a UK-focused role within a growing manufacturer of automation and robotic solutions, supplying high-performance packaging lines and bespoke solutions to the Pharma, Food & Beverage, Life Science and Biotech markets. The company is based in Wexford, Ireland and supports customers with bespoke multi-format solutions and full lines. The business is a family company with integrity, ownership, purpose and customer focus at the centre of what it does.
The position will be a key resource to the Sales effort at Tekpak to help identify and close large-scale multi-million Euro, complex automation projects for world-leading companies in Food & Life Sciences in the UK. It is suitable for someone in a design team moving into a senior technical sales role or someone in sales seeking a step up.
Responsibilities- Lead the drafting of concepts and 2D AutoCAD layouts for individual solutions and full lines, including simulations, rendering or data to support sales
- Generate quotation templates and proposals for customers
- Collaborate with the CEO and Technical Director to ensure quotations and designs include all information and costs
- Support pricing with the Technical Director, Production Director and Financial Controller to ensure pricing and cost data are accurate
- Represent the business at major industry events, conferences, trade shows and expositions, including presenting products and services
- Support the sales pipeline and lead tracking to report on KPIs related to lead generation and conversion
- Work with internal teams to ensure high levels of customer service for clients
- Provide market feedback to leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and ideas for product development
- Support sales with updating CRM and maintaining up-to-date catalogues

- 4 or more years in the packaging, engineering or machine manufacturing industry
- Experience in selling automation
- Deep experience with AutoCAD 2D
- Some knowledge of Solid Works 3D
- Some experience with Blender, RoboDK or similar for 3D animations
- Experience developing automation solutions and concept layout design is a distinct advantage
- Competency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
