Working as part of the Channel Sales team, your primary role will be responsible for developing Nimans current customers to grow your account base sales revenue and gross profit through increase spend. You will focus on identifying and developing additional business through building relationships via pro‑active outbound calls, promoting the Nimans portfolio of products and services available from Nimans and identifying sales opportunities.

You will be expected to manage and grow your own customer base, as well as manage an active pipeline of opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve and exceed all agreed KPI’s, sales targets and performance measures.
  • Create and deliver a sales plan for growing your account base and achieving sales targets.
  • Manage own diary and customer database.
  • To proactively target new business and to seek additional revenue streams.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate pipeline of opportunities to meet short and medium‑term business plans.
  • To collaborate with the required category departments where necessary to support on sales opportunities.
  • To liaise with the appropriate Sales Managers to pass accurate and timely leads.
  • To qualify, maintain and log all bids and tenders as required from the customer base.
  • Establish Nimans as the Primary supplier of communications to existing, miscellaneous and new accounts.
  • Effectively manage the relationship between Nimans and existing customers.
  • Accurately update and maintain records on customer systems with details of all customer contacts.
  • React responsively and in a timely manner to customer queries and issues, accurately taking order details, check stock levels and confirming delivery.
  • Develop and maintain good and effective working relationships with all internal contacts.
  • Understand and adhere to all relevant Nimans sales processes.
  • Increase levels of appropriate product and service knowledge on current and future Nimans products.
  • Increase knowledge of the industry and competitor activity to better promote Nimans position.
  • Regularly monitor the account base to better understand buying patterns and to identify opportunities.
  • To undertake all training required by Nimans to develop the role as required. Any other duties deemed as necessary and appropriate for the role.
What you will bring to this role
  • Proven experience within a desk‑based sales role (Business Development/Strategic Account Management/Sales) with demonstrable success (achieving KPI’s/Sales Targets).
  • Previous experience of sales pipeline management.
  • Proven success in your sales ability and full knowledge of the sales process.
  • Confident negotiator with the ability to ‘close the deal’.
  • Capable of hands on problem‑solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
  • A positive and determined approach to researching and analysing new business opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills in all forms including written, email, telephone, and presentation.
  • Capable of working independently and having responsibility as an individual.
  • PC literate and able to use basic Microsoft Office packages.
  • Previous experience within a channel sales environment (IT/Telecom/AV).
  • Technical acumen – ability to understand and articulate Nimans product portfolio with a good level of competency.
  • Self‑Motivated with the ability to manage own diary and customer base
