Overview

My client is seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and experienced "strategic" Business Development Manager to join their expanding sales team. This role is responsible for leading and driving the sales growth of a market leading and Enterprise wide Managed BPO services portfolio around Core Digital Banking (Fin Tech), Cloud, AI, business apps and digital transformation projects within Europe across the Financial and Professional Services industry sector on a new business/new logo basis (this is a territory start-up/build out opportunity).

The candidate will possess a deep understanding of SaaS & Service based solutions around managed, BPO, cloud & complex strategic sales with C‑Suite engagement, while having a proven track record of securing multiple £MM (ACV) new business/new logo's and capable of building/cultivating new long-term client relationships within the BFSI (core focus) & PS vertical markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead New Business Development Initiatives:
    Identify, develop, and close £5M-£10M+ ACV services deals on a new business basis within the Financial services (Banking & Insurance) & Professional services sector, new logo acquisition to build out their footprint in European markets, being based remotely from the UK.
  • Strategic Sales:
    Own the sales cycle from lead generation (in conjunction with marketing) to contract negotiation and closing up to & including the C‑Suite. Create and execute effective strategies to target and engage high‑potential clients across the Professional & Financial services industries.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers within client organisations. Understand client needs, business challenges, and provide tailored enterprise solutions (managed & cloud) to address those needs.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis:
    Stay informed on market trends, competitor strategies, and emerging Fin Tech/ERP/CRM/AI & "Big Data" technologies. Use this insight to guide sales efforts and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams:
    Work closely with the marketing, solution architecture, and project delivery teams to ensure proposals, contracts, and project execution are aligned with client needs.
  • Revenue Growth and Targets:
    Achieve and exceed defined sales targets (£MM ACV, DoE) and KPIs. Continuously monitor and improve the sales pipeline to ensure consistent growth.
  • Proposal Development and Presentation:
    Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and demonstrations, effectively communicating the value of their solutions to prospects.
  • Networking and Industry Presence:
    Attend industry events, webinars, and conferences to build your professional network and promote the company’s services. Represent the business as a thought leader within the Fin Tech/ERP/CRM/AI & Data Managed/BPO technology services space.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience:

    At least 10+ years of proven new business development/new logo acquisition experience within B2B IT services sales, ideally within the Managed Cloud or BPO Fin Tech/ERP/CRM/AI or Data space and coming from a consulting, SI or managed/cloud services environment. A strong track record of closing multiple complex, large-scale £MM ACV projects and working with senior C‑suite executives is essential.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    Extensive knowledge of SaaS/AI/Cloud/Transformation/Fin Tech/ERP/CRM software solutions, implementation processes, and market trends. Experience with popular platforms such as SAP, Microsoft (365 Dynamics), Temenos/FIS, Oracle is preferable.
  • Sales Expertise:
    Strong background in B2B solution sales, lead generation, and closing strategies. Skilled in building relationships and negotiating high‑value contracts.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex solutions and engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.
