A vacancy has arisen for an experienced full time Business Development Manager at PD Ports within the Unitised team at Teesport.

Location: Teesside

Working Arrangements: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The five main things our Business Development Manager will be working on are:

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with shipping lines/carriers, freight forwarders and cargo owners.
  • Analysis of trade flows, market trends and competitor activity to target emerging routes and growth opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining a pipeline of new opportunities, clearly prioritising and forecasting.
  • Preparing compelling commercial proposals, leading negotiations and delivering new business growth.
  • Representing PD Ports at industry events, conferences and networking forums.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Is customer obsessed with a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points and decision drivers.
  • Entrepreneurial and creative, comfortable operating with autonomy.

Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within ports, shipping, logistics, or supply chain is essential.
