Specification Sales Manager – Metal Roof Tiles

Building Products: lightweight steel roof tiles, vertical cladding, panels, sheets, etc. Target clients include local authorities, housing associations, architects, building surveyors, roofing contractors, tile fixers, and builders merchants.

North West, Yorkshire and Midlands.

£50,000 base + £5,000 bonus.

Fully expensed hybrid BMW car or allowance & full benefits.

• Field sales of lightweight roof tiles, roofing systems and metal tiles.
• Majority of sales time influencing local authorities, housing associations, architects, building surveyors and other specifiers.
• Remainder of sales time selling to and managing approved roofing contractors, tile fixers/installers and builders merchants.
• Manage an area achieving budget and turnover of £1.4m.
• Balance account management (50%) and prospecting (50%).
• Present CPD sessions scheduled for you.
• Utilize in-house database and dedicated telesales resources; limited cold calling.
• Handle sales cycles 3–9 months, orders £5,000 to £150,000+.
• Projects include schools, housing, garages, flat-to-pitch conversions, hospitals, prisons, modular or non-traditional pre-fabricated housing, etc.

• Field sales experience in building products with specifiers (local authorities, housing associations, architects, building surveyors) and contractors.
• Roofing knowledge not essential; product training provided.
• Adaptability with a "knock-on-doors" mentality.
• Strong presentation skills; CPD experience advantageous.
• Contacts within local authorities, housing associations, architects or other specifiers advantageous.
• Proactive nature, strong territory management, and field sales experience.
