Business Development Director - ABL

Strong ABL market focus | Senior-level business development | Direct access to corporate and advisory networks

If you’re an experienced ABL professional looking to take ownership of business development across a strong corporate and commercial customer base, this Business Development Director – Asset Based Lending role offers the opportunity to grow an ABL book through established customer and professional adviser relationships.

You’ll have autonomy across business development, relationship building and pipeline management, while working closely with Credit, Business Support and Relationship Management. The role offers genuine scope to influence growth and build a strong presence across the ABL market.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new ABL business through corporate and commercial customers, direct approaches and professional adviser referrals.

• Build and maintain relationships across debt advisory, brokerage, accountancy and other ABL intermediary networks.

• Develop and manage a high-quality business development pipeline, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities that support business growth while maintaining appropriate operational and regulatory standards.

About You

• Experience in ABL, invoice finance sales or invoice finance relationship management.

• Proven experience delivering ABL business through external introducers and professional adviser networks.

• Experience assessing businesses, including financial performance, balance sheets, P&L and cashflow.
