White Label Recruitment is working with a major UK manufacturer within the HVAC and building services sector to recruit a Specification Sales Manager covering the North West.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly established and recognised manufacturer with a broad technical product portfolio and a strong presence across the UK commercial building services market.

The position is a technical, solutions-led specification role, working on commercial projects with consultants, specifiers, engineers and M&E contractors.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing specification and project opportunities across the North West, managing existing relationships while also identifying and developing significant new business.

Responsibilities will include:

* Developing relationships with M&E Consultants, Building Services Consultants, Design Engineers, Specifiers and Contractors

* Identifying and developing commercial project opportunities

* Influencing specifications from early design stage through to project award

* Understanding customer requirements and proposing appropriate technical solutions

* Delivering technical presentations and CPDs

* Developing and managing a strong specification and project pipeline

* Working closely with internal technical teams on project solutions

* Developing existing accounts alongside winning new business

* Tracking longer-term projects through the specification and construction process

* Managing your own territory and diary with a high level of autonomy

The Person

We’re looking for an experienced external technical, project or specification salesperson from the HVAC or wider building services market.

Relevant product backgrounds could include:

HVAC

Heating

Heat pumps / renewables

District heating / heat networks

Pumps

Valves

Controls

Ventilation

Cooling / refrigeration

Air conditioning

Pipework

Other technical mechanical building services products

You do not need to currently hold a Specification Manager title. Candidates working as Technical Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, Project Sales Managers or Sales Engineers will also be considered where they have relevant project/specification experience.

You’ll ideally have experience:

* Selling through specification and project-led routes to market (but specification sales isnt essential aslong as you have solution sales exp in this field)

* Working with M&E Consultants, Contractors, Engineers and/or Specifiers

* Developing new business and building project pipelines

* Understanding technical drawings and building-services applications

* Presenting technical solutions to customers

* Managing longer-term commercial projects from opportunity through to award

Experience working for a technical manufacturer would be advantageous, although strong candidates from specialist distribution will also be considered.
