The RoleThe Outreach Officer plays a key role within the Marketing & Student Recruitment team, supporting the growth of UKMC's presence across schools, colleges, community organisations, businesses, and local networks.
The postholder will be responsible for sourcing outreach opportunities, building partnerships, supporting events, and generating prospective student leads while promoting UKMC within the wider community.
This position requires an enthusiastic, proactive, and people-focused individual who is confident engaging with a variety of audiences, building professional relationships, and representing UKMC externally.
The role contributes directly to student recruitment, brand awareness, community engagement, and partnership development objectives.
Key Responsibilities Outreach, Partnerships & Relationship Building- Identify and source relevant schools, colleges, community organisations, businesses, events, and networking opportunities.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with schools, organisations, event organisers, and community groups.
- Make initial contact, arrange meetings, and develop opportunities for partnerships, student referrals, and collaboration.
- Manage outreach opportunities from initial contact through to engagement, follow-up, and ongoing relationship management.
- Maintain accurate records of contacts, opportunities, follow-ups, and outcomes.
- Source and support UKMC's participation in careers fairs, education events, community activities, and other relevant events.
- Represent UKMC professionally and engage with prospective students, parents, professionals, and the wider community.
- Communicate UKMC's courses, study options, and student opportunities clearly and confidently.
- Generate and accurately capture prospective student enquiries through events and outreach activities.
- Follow up with leads and work closely with the Lead Conversion team to support progression towards application.
- Support UKMC's community engagement and social responsibility initiatives.
- Support outreach activity in line with UKMC's wider marketing and student recruitment objectives.
- Identify opportunities to increase UKMC's brand awareness and visibility within the community.
- Assist with outreach materials, presentations, and event resources.
- Provide feedback on prospective student interests, questions, and market opportunities.
- Develop business development and sales opportunities through networking, relationship building, and partnership activity.
- Previous experience in sales, business development, outreach, recruitment, events, customer engagement, or a similar role.
- Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence in approaching new organisations and developing professional relationships.
- Strong organisational, planning, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contacts, partnerships, and opportunities simultaneously.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of lead generation and conversion processes.
- Experience working towards measurable outreach and recruitment objectives.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- Experience with in higher education, further education, or student recruitment would be advantageous.
- Experience working with schools, colleges, community organisations, or external partners is desirable.
- Experience using CRM or lead management systems is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
