Commercial Sales Manager – UK
Manchester £60,000–£75,000 + up to 30% bonus + Electric Vehicle
We are working with a leading international organisation that is entering an exciting period of growth and transformation within the UK market.
As part of this journey, they are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Sales Manager to take ownership of the UK commercial strategy, strengthen sales capability and help drive the next stage of the company's growth.
This is a newly created senior position, reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the wider UK leadership team.
It's an ideal opportunity for a commercially driven sales leader who can combine strategy with hands‑on delivery. You'll be expected to develop the commercial framework, build relationships, develop people and, importantly, ensure the strategy is implemented effectively across the business.
The RoleAs Commercial Sales Manager, you'll lead and develop the UK commercial function, with responsibility for Key Account Management, Tenders and Marketing.
You'll work across the organisation to establish a consistent and effective approach to sales, developing commercial frameworks, improving processes, supporting pricing strategies and building a stronger sales culture.
This is a highly visible role. The successful candidate will be expected to build trust across the business, work closely with branch and sales teams and lead from the front when it comes to major customers and commercial opportunities.
You won't simply be setting strategy from a distance — you'll be actively involved in making it happen.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop the UK commercial and sales function.
- Manage and support Key Account Management, Tenders and Marketing teams.
- Develop and implement short, medium and long-term commercial growth strategies.
- Drive profitable organic revenue growth across the business.
- Build a robust and sustainable sales pipeline.
- Develop and improve lead‑generation initiatives and sales processes.
- Establish consistent national sales standards and operating practices.
- Review and implement pricing strategies and commercial frameworks.
- Develop effective sales governance and performance measures.
- Support customer retention and increase customer lifetime value.
- Develop sales capability through coaching, mentoring and training.
- Identify and implement systems, tools and processes that improve sales performance.
- Develop strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
- Provide senior commercial support on major tenders, pitches and high‑value opportunities.
- Help drive the commercial adoption of innovative digital solutions across the UK.
We're looking for an experienced commercial or sales leader with a proven track record of delivering growth, improving performance and successfully implementing change.
You’ll ideally have experience in:
- Leading and developing sales or commercial teams.
- Developing and implementing business development or sales strategies.
- Delivering measurable revenue growth.
- Managing strategic accounts and senior customer relationships.
- Building and managing sales pipelines.
- Developing sales processes, frameworks and governance.
- Pricing and commercial strategy.

- Implementing new systems, processes or ways of working.
- Influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
Hands‑on leadership is essential
This role will suit someone who enjoys being visible, involved and close to the action.
