THE ROLE

This is an exciting, sales-focused role for a driven and ambitious individual who is passionate about building strong customer relationships and delivering results. Reporting to the National Account Manager and covering the North of England, you will play a key role in growing Keylite's presence within the National and Regional House builder markets. You will take ownership of your accounts and work proactively to achieve and exceed personal and regional sales targets.

Your focus will be on winning new business, developing existing relationships and identifying opportunities for growth. From approaching prospective customers and converting new opportunities to strengthening partnerships with existing clients, you will help Keylite grow its market presence and deliver against the wider business strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Act as a key point of contact for regional offices of National House builders, including Taylor Wimpey and Barratt Redrow.
  • Manage and develop key Regional House builder accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, proactively resolving service issues while identifying opportunities to grow sales and maximise profit margins.
  • Drive new business development across the region, targeting new key accounts for both new products and the core range.
  • Negotiate product terms and agreements with existing and prospective Regional House builder customers, both face-to-face and online.
  • Protect and improve profit margins, as reported through Power BI, while maintaining a strong customer service culture.
  • Work with Group Technical Support teams to ensure Keylite quotations meet customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with Group colleagues and other businesses to maximise opportunities for all parties.
  • Drive the specification of Keylite products within the house builder market, with a particular focus on ranges such as Modulite.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties relevant to your position, reflecting the company’s growth, changing market conditions and evolving business needs.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust and credibility with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Commercial confidence and influencing skills, including the ability to negotiate, challenge constructively and identify opportunities to grow sales and margins.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage with customers and colleagues at all levels, both face-to-face and virtually.
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset, taking ownership of targets, accounts and opportunities.
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to respond positively to changing customer requirements, market conditions and business priorities.
  • A collaborative, customer-focused approach, working effectively with internal teams while keeping the customer experience at the heart of everything you do.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • A minimum of three years' sales experience, ideally within the construction industry and/or house builder market.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to influence others and develop long-term relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • A target-driven approach, with the motivation, energy and determination to achieve sales and performance objectives.
  • A proven track record in account management and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • The confidence to work independently and use your own initiative.
  • A full UK driving licence, as the role requires extensive travel.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, including accurate recording of activities on the CRM system.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexibility to undertake regular customer visits, extensive driving and overnight stays as required.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • A supportive, values-driven and inclusive working environment.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • 33 days' annual leave, increasing with service.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Life assurance.
  • Healthcare Cashback Plan.
  • Company car.
  • Enhanced family-friendly policies.
  • Additional employee benefits, including access to our Cycle to Work Scheme, Employee Discount Scheme, Employee Recognition Awards and Employee Assistance Programme.
