Pebble Recruitment are representing a well‑established Environmental Consultancy that is actively seeking an ambitious Consultant Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join their growing team in Manchester. The client has six offices across the UK, provides a variety of multidisciplinary services, and is known for its strong reputation and healthy pipeline of repeat and new business. The company places a strong emphasis on client and employee well‑being, aspirations, and the sustainability of projects.

The successful Senior Ecologist will work closely with the ecology team in Manchester, assisting with protected species surveys and contributing to the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects.

• Undertaking protected species surveys
• Assisting in the preparation of tenders and fee quotations
• Producing technical reports, including PEA reports, BNG reports, and protected species reports
• Managing small to medium‑sized projects and some large projects with assistance as needed

• 5+ years of industry experience
• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or a related field
• At least one protected species licence (preferred)
• Full UK driving licence
• Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and its application
• Membership or preferred membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (CIEEM)

• Competitive salary: £38,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
