The Night Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment during their shift through active patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, and emergency response. The role requires a visible and professional presence, courteous interaction with staff and visitors, and a commitment to preventing incidents while upholding legal compliance and the company’s reputation.
Objectives of Night Security Guard- Ensure a safe environment through diligent active patrols, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment checks
- Maintain a visible and professional presence at all times
- Greet staff, guests, tenants, and contractors in a courteous and attentive manner
- Respond immediately and appropriately to distress calls, panic alarms, emergency incidents, and disruptive behaviour
- Monitor CCTV systems and surveillance equipment effectively
- Prevent crime, fire, and damage to property
- Uphold the company’s reputation through professionalism and full legal compliance
- Promote a safe, secure, and pleasant working environment for both team members and guests
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven security experience (essential)
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV licence with at least 12 months remaining
- A strong understanding of surveillance systems, particularly CCTV operations
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during night shifts
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with a diverse range of individuals
- A firm commitment to safety standards and workplace protocols
