Regional Operations Manager – Security

The Regional Security Operations Manager leads the security strategy and ensures consistently high standards of security, safety, and customer care for staff, assets and visitors on site. The role involves managing security teams across multiple sites, maintaining excellent communication with the Management team, delivering agreed levels of service, motivating staff, identifying training needs, and developing a high‑performing team.

• £40,500 pa Basic Salary

• Valid SIA Licence
• Valid Driver’s Licence (no more than 6 penalty points)
• Located in the Manchester/NW Area (travel & overnight stays possible)

• Manage and maintain relationships on all sites under your control, covering Stockport up to Carlisle.
• Conduct periodic site visits to ensure staff follow procedures and maintain standards.
• Conduct staff appraisals, disciplinary and other meetings.
• Ensure provision of security and safety to client premises, brand partners, teams, contractors and visitors.
• Protect client assets by following recognised best practice techniques governed by MITIE & client.
• Organise and manage all security team workloads efficiently without compromising quality.
• Ensure security team members are deployed effectively, correctly dressed, tasks allocated, incidents handled.
• Review site security strategy, implement best practice in the industry as necessary.
• Maintain duty of care to security team members, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal policies.
• Undertake fair and efficient duty rostering and performance management, including probation reports.
• Monitor attendance, time keeping, remedial action, disciplinary and grievance matters.
• Provide reports and recommendations to senior line management and attend meetings.
• Ensure staff follow Health & Safety policies, including access control and key control.
• Respond to incidents promptly, directing the security team and activating emergency response plans as required.
• Maintain accurate records, daily situation reports and handovers for senior line management.
• Ensure patrolling officers have necessary equipment and training.
• Contribute to Corporate Responsibility Strategy and local community engagement.

• Experienced security leader with a can‑do attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent knowledge of security manning, CCTV systems and legislation.
• IT literate with working knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
• Ability to deliver transformational change.
• Attention to detail and set high delivery standards.
• Experience writing detailed monthly reports as requested by the Integrated Service Manager.
• Diligent, professional, and flexible.
• High degree of self‑motivation and dedication to achieving excellence.
• Effectively manages staff performance, gives constructive feedback.
• Flexible for 24‑hour operations, weekend and out‑of‑hours work.
• Understanding of counter‑terrorism risks.
