Warehouse Loss Prevention Specialist
Location:
Omega, Warrington
Shifts:
Rotating Day/Night Shifts - Mon‑Fri – 6am‑5pm / 6pm‑5am
The Warehouse Loss Prevention Specialist is responsible for protecting company assets, reducing losses, and maintaining a safe and secure working environment within a fast‑paced warehouse and fulfilment operation. The role involves managing a team of Security Officers, conducting investigations into stock losses and customer order discrepancies, ensuring compliance with security procedures, and supporting the protection of high‑value products throughout the supply chain.
ResponsibilitiesSecurity Operations & Team Management
- Supervise and support a team of Security Officers across warehouse operations.
- Ensure all security procedures, searches, access control measures, and site patrols are completed to the required standard.
- Conduct regular audits of security processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Deliver daily briefings and provide ongoing coaching and development to Security Officers.
- Ensure all incidents, concerns, and security breaches are reported and escalated appropriately.
- Investigate stock losses, inventory discrepancies, customer order issues, theft, fraud, and operational errors.
- Utilise CCTV systems, access control systems, warehouse management systems, and operational data to support investigations.
- Produce detailed investigation reports, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Work closely with Inventory, Operations, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to identify and mitigate loss trends.
- Support the implementation of loss prevention initiatives to reduce shrinkage and improve stock accuracy.
- Oversee security controls relating to high‑value products and sensitive client stock.
- Secure high‑value freight to ensure compliance.
- Monitor high‑risk operational areas including goods‑in, goods‑out, decant, packing, and storage locations.
- Ensure high‑value deliveries, collections, and returns are managed in accordance with company procedures.
- Conduct regular reviews of security controls for high‑value clients and products.
- Ensure compliance with company security standards, client requirements, and industry accreditations (e.g. TAPA where applicable).
- Carry out security audits and inspections across warehouse operations.
- Monitor CCTV coverage and security equipment functionality, escalating issues where necessary.
- Support internal and external audits relating to security and loss prevention.
- Lead investigations into security incidents, thefts, fraud, misconduct, and policy breaches.
- Liaise with law enforcement and external agencies when required.
- Maintain accurate records of all investigations and incident reports.
- Identify trends and recommend preventive measures to minimise future losses.
- Previous experience in a Loss Prevention, Security, Warehouse Security, or Asset Protection role.
- Experience managing or supervising Security Officers or operational teams.
- Proven experience conducting investigations into stock loss, theft, fraud, or customer order discrepancies.
- Strong understanding of warehouse and fulfilment operations.
- Experience working with CCTV, access control systems, and incident management processes.
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Experience working within high‑value logistics, fulfilment, retail, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
- Knowledge of TAPA standards and supply‑chain security requirements.
- Professional security qualification or relevant industry certification.
- Experience using warehouse management systems and inventory platforms.
