Salary: Up to £21 per hour (DOE)

Job Type: Full‑time / Permanent

Location: Manchester

Hours: Monday – Friday (flexible start and finish; 1 in 3 weekends Saturday & Sunday 6:00 am – 12:00 pm with x £250 per shift). Flexible on hours per week.

A company van is provided, usable for personal use, giving freedom to travel between jobs. The role combines workshop and mobile work, primarily on trailers (99% of work), and involves onsite visits to customer sites.

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection and repair of trailers and light trucks, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to keep vehicles safe and roadworthy.

• Diagnosing and repairing trailer faults, including brakes, lights, tail lifts, and suspension
• Servicing double‑deck trailers and other specialised equipment
• Performing routine safety inspections and identifying potential issues before they become problems
• Maintaining accurate service records and reports
• Working directly with customers during onsite visits, providing professional service and advice
• Carrying out mobile repairs using a company van equipped with tools and spare parts
• Following company safety procedures and industry standards (IRTEC, LOLER)

Monday – Friday: flexible start and finish; flexible hours per week. Weekend rota: 1 in 3 weekends (Saturday & Sunday, 6:00 am – 12:00 pm, £250 per shift).

• Experience as an HGV / Trailer Technician
• Knowledge of working on trailers
• Comfortable visiting customer sites for onsite repairs
• Full UK driving licence

• Company van with 100 miles per week for personal use
• Training opportunities: IRTEC, LOLER, HGV licence
• Up to £21 per hour depending on experience
• Somewhat flexible start and finish times
