Criminology Graduate – Behaviour Support Worker
Oxford –
Start date:
ASAP – Pay: £80‑£95 per day.
The school offers a state‑of‑the‑art mental health support environment and is committed to ensuring no student is left behind academically or pastorally.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver one‑to‑one and small group interventions for students aged 11‑16 with complex behavioural, social and emotional mental health needs.
- Implement restorative practices, pragmatism and positive reinforcement to support students with early childhood trauma, eating disorders, school refusal and at‑risk criminal offending.
- Collaborate with specialist staff, including counsellors, therapists, pastoral support workers and social workers to shadow and refine therapeutic approaches.
- Support the development of students’ attainment and seamless transition to education after leaving the school.
- Recent graduate with a degree in Criminology or a closely related subject (e.g., Youth Work, Social Work).
- Strong passion for restorative practice and working with at‑risk groups.
- Empathy, excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
