Parenting Practitioner - Relationships Team Early Help
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 18 hours
Base: Swinton Gateway (with a citywide caseload)
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Parenting Practitioner to join our Relationships Team within Early Help
. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to children and families by delivering high-quality, evidence-based parenting interventions that strengthens relationships and improves outcomes for children and families.
You will work with families across the city, supporting families through structured parenting programmes and early help interventions, with a strong focus on relationships, attachment, and the home learning environment.
Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based parenting programmes to families, maintaining fidelity while responding to individual needs
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers to support positive change
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across early help, health, education, and partner agencies
- Has experience delivering parenting or family support interventions
- Understands child development, attachment, and relationship-based practice
- Can build positive relationships with families from diverse backgrounds
- Is confident working both independently and as part of a multi-agency team
- Is committed to evidence-based practice, safeguarding, and continuous professional development
- Be part of a supportive, values-led team
- Access regular supervision, training, and professional development
- Work flexibly with families across the city while being based at Swinton Gateway
- Make a tangible impact on children’s lives and family relationships

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.
