This is an exciting time to join Tameside Children’s Services. As we continue to build on the success of our Social Work Academy and strengthen the roles within it, we are introducing three new Quality Practice and Learning Lead positions. These roles will play a pivotal part in shaping high quality practice, driving improvement, and supporting the development of our workforce.

At the heart of this role is our
Heart of Support Practice Approach
, underpinned by the5 C’s Compassion, Curiosity, Collaboration, Conversation and Courage
. These values are the golden thread in how we work with children, families and each other. You will champion the
Heart of Support
and play a pivotal role in embedding systemic practice across the service.

You will lead practice development and quality assurance across Children’s Services, fostering a strong learning culture focused on high quality, child centred practice.

You will be supported by the Service Lead for the Social Work Academy with a comprehensive induction, ongoing training, and regular supervision to help you reach your full potential.

We are seeking strong, credible leaders with the passion and determination to empower, motivate and develop our workforce. You will play a key role in strengthening practice, driving quality, and embedding a culture of learning across Children’s Services.

  • Has experience in practice development, quality assurance and workforce development
  • Inspires others, builds strong relationships and influences across services
  • Is reflective, resilient and able to respond to emerging priorities
  • Is dedicated to developing people and supporting a stable, skilled, confident workforce
