This role offers a starting salary within Nacro’s pay structure of £26,807 Entry with expected progression to £28,851 Established within the first year, subject to meeting clear criteria and performance standards, with further pay progression available in the future. About the Role

Nacro is looking for committed and motivated Housing Management Workers to join our Step Forward Services team. Working across Greater Manchester, you will provide low-level support and housing management services to individuals with low to medium support needs.

The core aim of the service is to deliver intensive housing management and structured support to people who need assistance to successfully manage their tenancy, build confidence and independence, and move on to their own long-term accommodation.

You will work closely with individuals to help them identify long term housing, access relevant services, develop independent living skills, and achieve positive outcomes.

Working Hours and Travel Requirements
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
  • Occasional evening work may be required
  • The role involves visiting individuals in their homes and travelling across Greater Manchester
  • Caseloads will be organised by geographical area to help reduce travel requirements where possible
  • Applicants must be willing and able to travel as part of the role
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intensive housing management and tenancy-related support
  • Support individuals with low to medium support needs to maintain safe and stable accommodation
  • Complete regular welfare and property inspections across Greater Manchester
  • Assist residents to develop practical life skills and greater independence
  • Support individuals to access external agencies and community services
  • Proactively Promote tenancy sustainment and positive move-on opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records, progress plans, and risk assessments
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and local stakeholders
  • Safeguard vulnerable adults and always promote wellbeing
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals
  • Experienced in housing management, supported housing, tenancy support, or a similar field
  • Able to build positive and professional relationships
  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage a varied caseload
  • Confident working independently across multiple locations
  • Skilled in communication, problem-solving, and record keeping
  • Committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • Has access to their own vehicle and a full UK driving licence

Experience working with individuals facing housing instability, homelessness, would be beneficial.
