The role is part of the Floating Support Service within the Homelessness Service, supporting families in Greater Manchester. The position is hybrid: most time spent visiting families in their homes, with a minimum of two days in the office.
Responsibilities- Provide support to families with individual needs, including working with agencies such as Children’s Services, Mental Health services, and the Housing Management team.
- Attend meetings with agencies involved in each family’s support plan.
- Assist families in managing and maintaining their tenancy and helping them move from temporary accommodation to permanent settled accommodation.
- Work independently in the community, visiting residents across Greater Manchester.
- Important Car User – must hold a full valid driving licence and provide own car for work. Essential Car User Allowance will be provided.
- At least 3 years of employment history.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance required.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and strong partnership working skills.
- Personal resilience, commitment to help, solution-focused outlook.
