Key Responsibilities

The role holder will effectively manage a team of reablement staff, undertaking all management activities, coaching staff and observing practice, evaluating performance and putting in place appropriate support to ensure continual service improvement and improved outcomes for citizens.
They will manage an effective and efficient rota system that helps schedule reablement support workers’ visits to citizens, ensuring that requests for reablement services are always responded to promptly and supported by real‑time information on current capacity.
They will assess and review health and safety issues relating to staff and customers, identify and action solutions to minimise risk, and support the development needs of reablement support workers by ensuring all new directorate initiatives are disseminated down to them and all skills gaps are effectively addressed. The role holder will be based at Reablement South at Trafford house.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements
  • NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care within six months of commencing the role (or willingness to undertake and achieve it).
  • Essential Car User: must hold a full valid driving licence, provide own car for use at work and receive the Essential Car User Allowance.
  • Required statutory disclosure:
    Enhanced DBS check (Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975).
  • Medical clearance:
    Pre‑placement health assessment (PPHA).
  • Proof of identity and full employment history.
  • Compliance with right‑to‑work requirements:
    Applicants must have an existing right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
