Student Cases and Conduct Officer; Safeguarding & Complex Cases

We are seeking an experienced Student Cases and Conduct Officer (Safeguarding & Complex Cases) to join our established Student Cases, Conduct and Safeguarding (SCCS) team within Student Experience and Support. Building on the core Student Cases & Conduct Officer role previously recruited for, this post has a particular focus on complex cases
, including safeguarding, Prevent, student welfare and support to study
.

Experience of working with students in complex or high‑risk situations, or within a safeguarding or related professional field
, would be highly desirable. The role suits someone confident working within policy frameworks and contributing to fair, proportionate and student‑centred decision‑making.

Please be aware that the successful candidate for this opportunity will be required to pass a DBS check.

• Triage, assess and manage complex student cases, including safeguarding, welfare, Prevent and conduct‑related matters
• Work directly with students, including those experiencing complex personal circumstances, and liaise with internal teams and external agencies
• Prepare and present cases to University panels and groups, including Student Case Management Group and Safeguarding/Prevent forums
• Maintain accurate, timely and GDPR‑compliant case records, reports and referrals
• Contribute to the development of policy, guidance, training and shared good practice in student case management
