Your roleThis is an exciting opportunity to be at the cutting edge of Devolution and help transform Education and Skills provision in Greater Manchester and shape key Mayoral ambitions for young people.
This role will support two flagship policy programmes (The Greater Manchester Baccalaureate, and Our Pass) to support strategic development and implement effective management and monitoring processes to ensure they are achieving the best outcomes for young people.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the development, implementation and monitoring of the Greater Manchester Baccalaureate and Our Pass programmes, ensuring strategic objectives are translated into well‑organised plans and that outcomes for young people are achieved.
About you- You will be a strategic thinker, able to turn policy objectives into practical, well‑organised plans with a focus on results and outcomes for our young people.
- You will have excellent organisational skills to drive complex projects through to implementation, and can support others to implement best practice approaches to project and programme management and monitoring.
- You will be passionate about improving the lives and career prospects of young people, taking a user‑centred and inclusive approach to designing policy and services, seeking out insights from users to drive improvements.
- You will be a strong communicator, able to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and produce reports, presentations, and briefings that effectively translate our vision.
- This area of work is fundamental to achieving our core outcomes for young people and provides the opportunity to collaborate on an exciting and pioneering programme of work. This is a role that would suit a generalist able to respond quickly to changing circumstances and prepare materials to a high standard to short deadlines.
