Join us at an exciting time for Adult Social Care in Salford

Salford City Council is continuing to strengthen and evolve its Adult Social Care services, with a clear commitment to inclusion, innovation and person‑centred practice. Our new Provider Services arm of Adult Social Care supports Salford people to live fulfilling, independent and connected lives. Provider Services support people with learning disabilities, autism, dementia, mental health needs, physical disabilities and complex care conditions, helping people to achieve their goals and to live their life, their way, by giving people greater choice and control and being part of person‑centred planning.

This is an opportunity to work in a forward‑thinking service that values professional expertise, partnership working and creative approaches to support.

About the role

As a Support Worker you will tailor person centred care with the individual needs of people, aspirations and outcomes. You will work with senior Support Workers to embed strategies and approaches to meet the needs of people supported.

  • Supporting people with health, wellbeing and medication needs
  • Encouraging participation in social leisure and community activities

  • Good communication skills with the ability to adapt approaches to meet the needs of individuals
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Flexibility in your approach to working patterns and service needs
  • Commitment to learning and professional development

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
