Route 29 is inspired by the 'No Wrong Door' approach which is an exciting way of working collaboratively to meet the needs of our most vulnerable children and families in Salford. Route 29 focuses on providing a robust trauma informed intervention to young people aged 8
-18 years who are on the edge of care, in care or at risk of placement instability. Route 29 embrace a close working relationship with adolescents – a 'working with' rather than a 'doing to' approach. We want to be seen as a listening organisation and one where young people do not need to repeat their story to each professional, no matter which agency is involved.

Our service includes an outreach service, residential home, 16+ accommodation and a network of specialist foster carers that support young people in times of crisis.

The team work out of The Hub which includes our residential and outreach support.

Our hub provides residential and outreach support will have a dedicated team which includes:

• A Service Manager
• A Registered Manager for the home
• Two Deputy Managers (With lead areas for outreach and accommodation)
• Portfolio Leads
• Key workers who support young people and their families within the hub and by outreach work in the community
• A Senior Mental Health practitioner
• A Speech and Language therapist
• An Educational Psychologist
• Specialist Nurses
• Police contacts

The resilient key workers ‘stick’ with the young person through thick and thin to access the right services at the right time and in the right place to meet their needs.

Due to the promotion of one of our current key workers we have an exciting opportunity for a new Keyworker to join our new service.

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate professional who is passionate about making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people.

You will have substantial experience working with adolescents who have complex needs and who may present with high-risk behaviours. Holding a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People (or an equivalent qualification), you will be confident working across both our residential hub and outreach services, providing consistent support, guidance and positive interventions.

In this role, you will help create a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment for the young people who live within the hub. You will have a strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, ensuring that all aspects of your practice promote positive outcomes and high-quality care.

Working collaboratively within a multi-agency team, you will demonstrate a genuine commitment to safeguarding and improving the lives of vulnerable children, young people and families. You will have experience of delivering direct work and targeted interventions that help young people build resilience, achieve their goals and, where it is safe and appropriate, remain within the care of their family or wider support network.

You will adopt a trauma-informed approach in all aspects of your work and will be supported by a skilled specialist team to help you deliver the best possible outcomes. Experience of supporting young people during times of crisis is essential, alongside the ability to remain calm, professional and solution-focused in challenging situations.
